Narendra Singh, CMD of Brand India Inc. and founder of the Centre for Urban Research, has been awarded the Most Admired Upcoming Project of the Year - Eco Housing, Rajasthan, by the Worldwide Achievers team. The award ceremony was held in Mumbai recently, where Singh received the award from Raman Lal Vora (Gujarat cabinet minister). Maninderjeet Singh Bitta, Chairman, All India Anti-Terrorist Front, and Adarsh Shastri, MLA, Delhi assembly, were also present on the occasion.
Singh, an expert in the contemporary real estate market, was the youngest officer in the Rajasthan Administrative Services cadre at the time of his selection. He took voluntary retirement in July 2013 at the age of 38 years, with almost 16 years of experience, most of which was devoted to urban development in the state.
During his stint with the civil services, he worked in the capacity of a Deputy Commissioner in Jaipur Development Authority for six years, and Assistant Director for Urban local bodies in Jaipur for a year. He also worked as Assistant Collector Jaipur, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDO) Jaipur and Sri Ganganagar, Project Officer TAD (Tribal Area Development), Deputy Secretary to the administrative reform department and Secretary, Jaipur Discom (Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited).
